Questions, answered
Do I need a new phone number?
No. Keep the number your customers already know and forward unanswered calls to your RingMarshal number. Nothing changes for callers.
Will customers know they're talking to an assistant?
Yes. The first text says it's from your automated assistant, and on calls the assistant introduces itself and says the call may be recorded. Being upfront keeps you on the right side of the rules, and customers mostly care that they got an answer fast.
What if the assistant doesn't know the answer?
It never makes up prices or promises. It quotes only the prices you set, and anything else โ warranty questions, a special request, an upset customer โ it takes a message for your team or hands the conversation to you. You can step in on any conversation with one tap.
What happens in an emergency?
If a caller mentions something dangerous, like a gas smell or sparks, the assistant tells them how to get safe and who to call, and alerts your team right away instead of booking.
How long does setup take?
Setup takes about 15 minutes: add your hours, services and prices, then forward missed calls. Carriers need to approve business texting first, which usually takes a few days โ we walk you through it, and you can test everything in the meantime.
Does it work with my calendar or job software?
